Dear Moon Area Middle School Families, 

Welcome to Moon Area Middle School! My name is Dr. Brian Pohland, and I am honored to serve as Assistant Principal. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and am a proud graduate of Slippery Rock University, where I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I later earned my Doctorate in Education from Duquesne University. I bring with me a deep passion for education and a commitment to supporting students during the important middle school years.

At Moon Area Middle School, we strive to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where all students can succeed. Our dedicated staff works hard to provide meaningful academic experiences while encouraging personal growth and strong character.
