Every year, our 5th and 6th grade students donate their unwanted Halloween candy to a local military outreach group. This organization sends hundreds of care packages to deployed service members around the world, filled with candy and basic care items—just in time for the holidays.

Moon Area School District is pleased to announce that Mrs. Christina Frazier has been appointed the district's new Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Mrs. Frazier brings extensive experience in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Positive Behavior interventions and Supports (PBIS), along with a strong alignment to the district’s vision and goals. 

The possibility of winter weather is right around the corner. We want to make sure families are as prepared as possible for any changes to our typical schedule. 

Moon Area Middle School officially accepted its new Buddy Bench on October 31, 2025, marking the culmination of a months-long environmental and community-building project led by students in Mr. Finn’s and Mr. Hilpert’s 2024-25 adapted technology education classes.

The seventh grade Shark Team spent part of their fall team activity giving back to the community! 

Students donated supplies and assembled Birthday Celebration Boxes for the local food pantry. Each box included cake mix, frosting, a can of soda, candles, plates, and a pan — everything a family needs to celebrate a special day.

We are excited to announce that the Moon Angel Tree Program is returning this holiday season! Last year, we were overwhelmed by the incredible generosity of our Moon Area families, whose contributions helped fulfill the wishes, needs, and dreams of 194 Moon Area School District students, bringing joy to many families during the holiday season!
