The Moon Angel Tree Program was able to support 191 of our students from all our buildings in all grade levels this year!
The wish lists were wide and varied, but the shoppers managed to procure everything from necessities like shoes, coats, clothes, socks, and toiletries; to wants of dolls, bikes, scooters, roller skates, sports jerseys, Lego sets, headphones, keyboards, easy bake ovens and even a guitar.
During the winter season, the MAMS Girls' Chamber Choir performed at several events, showcasing their talent and spreading holiday cheer. Their performances included the Montour Heights Country Club Members’ Annual Christmas Party, caroling in Moon Township neighborhoods, the middle school and high school Winter Choral Concerts, and appearances at the Omni William Penn and the City County Building in downtown Pittsburgh.
Caitlin Butcher, a fifth grade student at Moon Area Middle School, recently won a contest to have her picture featured in the Pennsylvania Attorney General's drug-free calendar.
Club Hope partnered with the Middle School PTG to make 50 essential items kits to go along with the angel gifts for students at the middle school. All of the items were donated to the middle school through the PTG.
Mrs. Lehman, Mrs. Cairns, and Club Hope students enjoyed being together for a service project supporting our community! Mrs. Wilson even baked for Club Hope, so the students got to enjoy fresh baked cookies and hot cocoa after all of their hard work and efforts.
